“Hello,
My name is John Cook. In short, I am married to a beautiful and supportive wife and a proud father of two delightful girls. I have had two work-related accidents leaving me unable to work. My children are now old enough (4 and 8 years old) that I am starting to pursue other issues in life, but my family will always be in the forefront.
The first issue is the medical marijuana fiasco. My process for the Section 56 exemption started in May 2001 with yet no end in sight. As this process continues, I find more and more people unwilling to be put to such a standard set out by Health Canada for reasons of not having a supportive doctor, to no trust in government and all points in between. This has left me very disillusioned with the whole process….”
“…So for my part in 2002, with help from some very special people, I will be setting up a Compassion Club in Halifax, NS to help all people who require cannabis as medicine. I hope you will all join in our efforts to get the ball rolling on the East coast as well as the rest of Canada.
I would appreciate any comments, donations (money, services, seeds or medicine) as well as any criticisms you might have. I can be reached at jcook@ns.sympatico.ca.
We are encouraging anyone who would like to become a member to please contact me.
Best of health and stay safe.
Thank you.
John Cook
PS – Hi to Ted and Scott”
