Grow-op raid nets plants, equipment

A search warrant led Saanich and Esquimalt police to a large marijuana growing operation Sept. 9. Police moved in on a house on Ralph Street in Saaich and uncovered 279 marijuana plants, along with related marijuana growing equipment.
A 44-year-old man who was arrested at the home and taken into custody and was scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
Police called in a BC Hydro inspector to deal with electrical safety concerns related to the alleged grow-op.
