Silent Auction

A total of 16 different artists have contributed wide-ranging work for a silent auction
to raise funds for the International Hempology 101 Society. The art, which includes
photographs, pottery, sculptures, paintings and paper maché is on display at
826 Johnson St., in a building which has a sign saying “under renovations”. The
proceeds from the auction will be used to pay for the legal defence fund of the society
and the costs incurred over police raids.
Some of the artists exhibited include painter
Steve Palmer the acrylic mirror work of Terry Finnie and the artist known as
“Walbran Steve” (Steve Pittner) an environmental activist who painted while
demonstrating in the Walbran valley for nine years. Some of the art work is also on
display at www.hempology.com. All bidding ends
Nov.15 at 4:20 p.m. Viewing hours at the gallery run from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mon. – Sat.
and start at noon Sundays.
