Three Ontario men were indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for allegedly transporting 450 pounds of hydroponic marijuana over the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge into the United States.
Federal agents found the marijuana Nov. 15 in a truck driven by Paul E. Pryce, 28, of Toronto, Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas S. Duszkiewicz said.
Pryce and two companions, identified as Gurpreet Singh Gill, 31, and Harpal Singh Sidhu, 31, both of Brampton, were charged with attempting to import and distribute marijuana. Investigators from the Homeland Security Department handled the case.
Authorities said the street-sale value of the pot was over $1.5 million.
