UVSS Hempology 101 Club Series

GUEST SPEAKERS FOR NEXT 3 LECTURES

The free lecture series at the University of Victoria will feature 3 excellent guest speakers to start the month of October.

This Weds Oct 3 we will have Bill Finley, owner of Hemp & Co. and Shift, to inform the class about various hemp products available on the market and the challenges faced by the hemp industry in developing more types of products from hemp.

The lecture on Cannabis Research on Oct 10 will be taught by Associate Professor Scott Macdonald from the School of Health Information Science. Dr. Macdonald is the Assistant Director of the Center for Addictions Research of B.C. He will be discussing the controversial topic of cannabis and driving.

The next week Dr. Paul Hornby will be teaching a special 1 hour lecture on Cannabis Chemistry in a different room than normal. More will be posted about the location of the Cannabis Chemistry class at a later date.

There are other guest speakers lined up for the rest of the semester, so stay tuned for more. The lecture are held in the Elliot Building Room #063 from 3:30 – 4:00 pm and are available on-line through links on the side of the hempology.com web page. This is the second year that the UVSS Hempology 101 Club and the International Hempology 101 Society have held a free, public lecture series on cannabis and prohibition.
