Victoria, B.C.: A small, medical grow-op has turned into a huge headache for Kevin Wilde and his landlady, thanks to Langford RCMP and city council, highlighting why the Marijuana Medical Access Regulations are dysfunctional and why cannabis needs to become legal.
Kevin was arrested and charged with growing 40 plants in his garage for his personal use on Monday and the RCMP condemned the entire house according to Langford by-laws. Kevin is now homeless. The landlady is faced with fines over $5,000 and excessive police costs.
A press conference will be held at the Cannabis Buyers Clubs of Canada, (826 Johnson) where Kevin is a member, at 11pm, Weds Oct 28.
