Controversy over quantity of prescribed marijuana reaches Washington

Dale Rogers displays different types of marijuana available at the Compassion in Action Patient Network, an organization that distributes medical marijuana to qualifying patients, Thursday, June, 28, 2007, in Seattle. Rogers has been diagnosed with AIDS about 20 years ago and he has been constantly using marijuana to relieve the pain and nausea from his medication and to help strenghen his immune system. This fall, Washington state public servants will convene a series of meetings to answer the question: how much marijuana constitutes a two-month supply? The meetings are part of a serious attempt to shore up Washington’s medical marijuana law, currently considered one of the weaker laws among 13 different states with medical marijuana protections.
