POT DISPENSARY HEARING CONTINUED
A Riverside County Superior Court preliminary hearing for the owner and two employees of a Palm Desert medical-marijuana dispensary was continued Tuesday until Aug. 21.
Stacy R. Hochanadel, 30, who is listed as the owner of CannaHelp, 73350 El Paseo, and two employees, James T. Campbell, 31, and John R. Bednar, 31, are charged with possession of marijuana for sale, operating a building in which marijuana was sold and used, and transporting marijuana. The three face at least four years in prison if convicted, said district attorney spokeswoman Ingrid Wyatt.
Hochanadel was unavailable for comment Tuesday.
Palm Desert banned medical-marijuana dispensaries in May. It is allowing CannaHelp to stay in the city until the dispensary’s lease expires in September.
