SAANICH, British Columbia A man who complained to police that the marijuana he was growing at home had been stolen may be wishing the thieves had not left some of his stash behind.
Police said the 32-year-old man was arrested early Monday when they found marijuana at his home in this Victoria suburb. He was released on a promise to appear in court in about six weeks.
Police said the man called after returning home about midnight Sunday night and told officers his indoor pot-growing operation had been taken.
“It’s surprising what some people will report to police,” Royal Canadian Mounted Police Constable Peter Lane said Monday.
